Motorola GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem

A space-efficient, single rack design, the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem (ESS) integrates up to six GTR 8000 Base Radios, redundant GCP 8000 Site Controllers or GPB 8000 Reference Distribution Modules, redundant Ethernet LAN switches, redundant network gateways, transmit combiners, and receiver multicouplers. This enables a highly resilient architecture that provides industry-leading protection against single points of failure at the RF sites while providing a turn-key site solution that minimizes site cabling connections and installation effort.

It supports ASTRO 25 simulcast and site repeater trunking operation, 3600 simulcast and intellirepeater trunking operation with SmartX, HPD, and P25 digital and analog conventional operation. When ordered as an ASTRO 25 Express System, the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem is the industry’s only turn-key, single-site Project 25 trunking solution.

Specifications

Turnkey ASTRO 25 RF Site

Single rack design with G-Series components, the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem saves space, simplifies site installation and maintains the proven performance of ASTRO® 25. The flexible software-defined architecture makes the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem configurable to meet your P25 radio system requirements.

Features

Space Efficient and Easy to Install
Factory cabled, tuned and tested to your requirements, the single rack design integrates controllers, networking equipment, combiners, multicouplers and up to 6 base radios, greatly reducing installation time. Combine up to 3 racks for 18 channels of capacity. Save floor space by taking advantage of the front serviceable components, which allow the unit to be backed up just inches from a wall or an obstruction.

Software-Defined
Dynamically switch between modes of operation based on the subscriber radio and call type. The software-defined architecture of the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem eases migration from analog to digital, 3600 trunking to P25 trunking, FDMA to TDMA and from single site to multisite.

SUPPORTED MODES OF OPERATION

  • P25 Trunking Phase 1 (FDMA)
  • P25 Trunking Phase 2 (TDMA)
  • P25 Data
  • Enhanced Data
  • Analog Conventional
  • P25 Digital Conventional
  • HPD Data
  • 3600 Trunking

Highly Resilient and Serviceable
Protect against service disruption with redundant components and no single point of failure in the GTR 8000 Expandable Site Subsystem. Hot-swap hardware and front access makes hardware replacements quick and easy without service interruptions.
