The IP68 rating ensures that it remains fully protected against common environmental hazards like dust, dirt, sand, and water immersion depths greater than 1 meter. A high-performance single-unit charger is included with your radio and is fully compliant with the standards set by the California Energy Commission (CEC).
UHF or VHF Antenna
You have the option to choose between either a UHF or VHF antenna. UHF radio signals contain shorter wavelengths with an average frequency range of 400-512 MHz and are best suited for environments where penetrating obstacles is a primary need, such as urban or indoor settings. Conversely, VHF wavelengths are longer and travel further; making them ideal for rural environments and marine communications.
